Hospitality means primarily the creation of free space where the stranger can enter and become a friend instead of an enemy. Hospitality is not to change people, but to offer them space where change can take place. It is not to bring men and women over to our side, but to offer freedom not disturbed by dividing lines.
– Henri Nouwen
Indeed, this was the sentiment this past Saturday, as our OYP family members (which included OYP communities
and participants from our events) gathered together for a time of prayer, reflection as well as a time of fellowship.
It was a beautiful time to be grateful for all the Lord has done in our lives as well as for the gift of each other.
We spent the morning together with a time of worship, preaching by Fr. Jude and a time of reflection with St
Thomas and the real presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament
It was also a most enjoyable time of fellowship as we bonded over a delicious lunch and had fun playing various
table games.
When we began this journey, we started out as strangers but we daresay that the Lord in His infinite love and
grace, has given us a home here at OYP and truly bonded us together as one family! So from the bottom of our
hearts, we at OYP thank the Lord for each and every one of you.
