My dear young people, if you are going through a rough patch in your life or are seeking meaning and purpose; or a true friend who loves you unconditionally, come to the Catholic Youth Day. Come and meet Jesus, your true friend and Saviour. Our Lord Jesus loves you and never gives up drawing you to Him. Many young people have encountered His love and mercy personally, and they are waiting to share this with you at CYD so that you too can share in their joy. Even if you have never known who this Jesus is, come and see. He never disappoints anyone who puts his trust in Him. So don't hesitate. Come to CYD. Allow yourself to be inspired, to be encouraged as you listen to the testimonies of fellow young people sharing how Christ has touched their lives.
- Archbishop William Goh

Catholic Youth Day (CYD) is a celebration of our Catholic faith that gathers young people (aged 16 to 35 years)  cross Singapore. It celebrates and gives our young people an experience of what it means to be part of the greater Church. Our theme for the celebration is, “Jesus Name Above All Names”. It is our hope that every young person, especially those who have been far from the Lord, will have the opportunity to encounter the Lord and experience a homecoming to Him this CYD.

CYD will be held on the premises of the Office for Young People (2,4 Lorong Low Koon). The celebrations will begin at 11 am on 20 July Saturday and close with worship at sunrise on 21 July Sunday. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 20 July at 5:30pm by Archbishop William Goh.

Our invitation and challenge to every young active Catholic who has encountered the living Jesus are to have the courage to reach out with this fire in our hearts and bring home to CYD those who are lost, lonely, far away and seemingly indifferent. Let every young person have the opportunity to be brought to Jesus and experience the warmth of his mercy and his love.

See you very soon!

We are excited to share with you the song that has been chosen to be the theme song for CYD this year!! Written by Nicholas Loo, it is borne from his reflection on St Paul's hymn of Jesus Christ in Philippians 2:1-11.

By Jesus' humble obedience to the Father unto death, even death on a cross, God has highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Let this song inspire our hearts, minds and wills to bend at the name of Jesus as we confess His Name above all!

Big shout out to every young person who submitted their original compositions for our consideration. We are blessed by your faith and your musical giftings. Continue to sing and play skilfully unto the Lord and give Him glory!!

Do share this song to your family and friends!! See you at CYD to lift high the name of Jesus, the Name above all names!!
