There were 3 main ideas that I wanted to capture in my art. Firstly, the childlikeness that the Lord has brought me back to during this journey. This was illustrated by Jesus holding onto and guiding a child(me) in a big vast field. Secondly, the truth that I do not walk alone. This was illustrated by the holding of the child’s hand by Jesus, who walks with the child and doesn’t let her hand go throughout the journey. Lastly, the greater clarity in who I am and the greatness that the Lord calls me to be is illustrated by the guiding of the child into brighter days. The colours become more and more solid when moving from left to right to signify the greater clarity that Jesus brings me to. I also tried not to make the artwork look very perfect/put together because I wanted to use this as an opportunity for me to also exercise my childlikeness in the work that I do by not striving to create the “best/prettiest” artwork.
