DECEMBER 2020 | ISSUE#47

02 Scripture

Dear Friend,

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father.

– John 1:14

We greet you in a spirit of good cheer. Our Infant King has come!

As we behold the manger this Christmas, perhaps not all of us are in a place of celebration in our lives. But dear brothers, and sisters, Jesus has come especially for you.

He comes to renew hope in you, to restore, to rescue, to be united with you inextricably! Just as the water mingles with the wine at the Celebration of the Eucharist, we too are undeniably joined with Jesus. So take heart!

This season, we pray that our Saviour comes to as a precious babe, will also come to you and fill you with rejoicing. Blessed Christmas.

In God’s Love,
The Team, Office for Young People

As we continue to walk towards the manger in anticipation of the coming of The King, let do so knowing that we have everything we need for the journey ahead.

Walking to Bethlehem • Christmas Day

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father. (John1:14)

This Christmas, we have a unique opportunity to really go deep and be intentional about our celebrations. Just as Mary carried and nurtured Jesus until he was ready to be birthed into the world, so too it is for us not just to receive him in our hearts, but to nurture Him there for the people who need Him in their lives, and birth Him unto them!

OYP 7th Anniversary Thanksgiving Series: Jesus, My Greatest Treasure

OYP turns 7 this year! 🥳 As we celebrate OYP’s 7th Anniversary, we look back on the wonderful things that the Lord has done in the lives of our beloved young people and express gratitude for how the Lord is indeed raising up a generation for Christ!

“ I am grateful that Jesus has transformed my life from that of self-interest and dreams, to dreaming for His church and His people. I am grateful that I don’t need to keep looking for my purpose and identity because I have found it in him. I am grateful that Jesus is my living hope. I thank God that people intervened in my life, picked me up and brought me to Jesus. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to do this for others too! Seeing my people come to know Jesus and being loved by him is something I am grateful for! You’ll know it when you experience it for yourself!” – Joshua Lowe

CUR 2020: O Holy Night!

“Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord.”- Luke 2:11

We wrapped up our Combined University Retreat 2020 last Friday and we praise God for the many wonders that He had done throughout the 4 day retreat. As we draw closer to Christmas day, we pray that each one of the participants may continue to live for Christ and not let what they’ve experienced to fade away.
