God Is Always Present

Written by Shezanne Lee Before Kickstart, I was coming off a low point in my faith where God felt so distant in a time where I needed Him most. Kickstart was an entirely new idea to me at that time, and I was reluctant to put myself in such a new environment. However, after the

Rooted in Christ alone

by Jonathan Kwok, NUS Business Graduate  Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth – Col 3:2 Hi everyone, I am Jonathan Kwok and I am a year 4 business student. Life before encountering who is the Lord was wild times. To put into perspective of my relationship

Community: Heaven on Earth

Written by Jasmine Gowidjaja Before coming to university, I thought that my faith had to be a stand-alone— something private that only consisted of my relationship with God. Even then, I still wanted to be in a community so that I can be grounded in my faith as I begin this new phase of life. However,

Faithful in the Battle

The Foundation of My Faith Growing up a cradle catholic, I was exposed to the faith from a young age. However, my faith was lukewarm at best. The turning point of my faith life was during a catechism retreat, where I mustered the courage to go for one of the most powerful confessions of my

Experiencing God’s Love Through Community

Written by Chloe De Silva Prior to Kickstart, I did not see the point of opening myself up to more people and joining a new community. I felt satisfied with where I was and comfortable with my parish community in Singapore that I had already journeyed with for a year. I constantly doubted the idea

Community As A Space of Support

Written by Judith Bangar What can God do in a two-day online retreat? A question laced with doubt and an almost condescending tone. This was how I entered Kickstart 2020. Circuit Breaker left me isolated in dealing with university applications and my poly graduation. I  applied for a course that was different from what I had

SIT Corpus Christi

We are a small but growing community of SIT students journeying together to live out Christ in our daily lives, especially amidst the hectic university life. We have Cell Group every week at Dover campus, and monthly formation sessions for all at the Office for Young People. If you’re a SIT student looking to join a Catholic community or simply curious about the Catholic faith, we would love to have you join us, and share with you our love for Jesus!

If you would like to get in touch with Catholic students society, please email Mel Lee.

SMU FIDES

We are a community of Catholic students seeking to live as joyful witnesses of the Gospel in every aspect of our lives. We gather every Wednesday at 8:00pm to worship God in song, share the Gospel and to catch up with friends and cell groups. Mass is celebrated every alternate Friday at 4:00pm. If you are a Catholic student attending, or about to attend SMU, don’t be shy! Come and join us!

SUTD Refuge Catholic Community

University is an important and defining time for all of us. SUTD is a challenging place to be. It stretches both our academic and mental capacity. We hope to be pillars of support for each other and to grow in our faith journey through prayer, fellowship and discipleship as a community. We meet on Mondays at 6pm for dinner, fellowship and prayer meetings. Join us as we build community and be missionaries for Christ!

Chaplain: Office for Young People

SUSS Catholic Students Community

We meet every Tuesday at 7:30pm on campus. If you are interested in learning more about us, please contact Debbie, who is our pastoral shepherd.

NUS Catholic Students Society

We serve the Catholic student community on campus, while striving to represent the face of Christ and His Church in the university enterprise. Under the direction of our Chaplain, we aim to foster spiritual growth and development amongst our members, while providing a strong base of spiritual and social support for young Catholic students striving to live the Gospel. At the same time, we strive to promote Catholic values in the wider society. We are a recognised student organisation under the NUS Office of Student Affairs, as well as a registered society under the Registry of Societies Singapore.

Mass is celebrated every Thursday at 6:30pm and Antioch sessions occur every other Thursday at 8:00pm. To find out more, please contact us at the email address below!

Chaplain: Office for Young People

NTU Catholic Students Apostolate

We have masses every Wednesday at 6:00pm, at NIE LT5. We also meet every other week for Witness Wednesdays at 7:45pm and our cell groups meet every week. To find out more, please contact us at the email address.

YALE-NUS College: Ubi Caritas

Ubi Caritas is a small but spirited University Campus Community at Yale-NUS College. It was born out of a desire for shared discipleship and Christian support through the often provoking intellectual environment at the liberal arts school. The brothers and sisters of this community have been constant reminders to one another of God’s grace, providence, love and patience as we meander through these pivotal years of our lives.

Ubi has always been conceived of as a family, built on the foundation of Jesus Christ and his Church, and seeking to bring His light and mission onto our campus. Our community meets weekly for formation sessions and cell groups where we read and reflect on Holy Scripture and catch up regularly with each other. We also currently have daily rosary, and weekday mass is just a hop and skip away (Holy Cross) from where we are. Our community also works very closely with NUS CSS who always open their events to us and provide prayers and support in various ways.

Singapore Catholic Students in Europe

We are a community of Singaporean Catholic university students spread across Europe, who are on a journey of growing closer to the heart of our Father, even as we are geographically far apart! Shepherded by the Office for Young People (OYP), under the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore, we are pilgrims scattered throughout the continent, but united together in faith. Since its genesis in 2018, our small community has grown and expanded in size and spirit. Despite physically living in a foreign land, we aim to bring each other home to our Father’s house.

Our community gathers Singaporean students in Europe to partake in the mission of raising up a generation for Christ. We hold regular community events, including weekly online cell group sessions, times of fellowship, as well as Days of Recollection held throughout the academic year. Just as God sends us forth, He does not abandon us nor forsake us. As a community of brothers and sisters, we encourage each other to grow in holiness and relate to each other with the mind of Christ. We hope that community living will inspire faith and provide support for our Singaporeans who are studying abroad, as a reminder of God’s love and a testament of his faithfulness!

SG Catholics in Australia

The AU community is a group of Singaporean Catholic students studying in Australia. As a community, we desire to encounter Jesus Christ while studying abroad. Although we may be far from home, we are never far from the One. So, we journey with each other to grow and deepen our personal relationship with God. Embarking on this journey to become intentional disciples, we constantly encourage each other to live out our faith as university students in Australia. Despite being apart physically, we are united as ONE church, ONE spirit, and ONE body of Christ.

If you are a student studying in US and would like to be connected, you may contact Gerald (@gleewj) or Geraldine (@gerisoh) on Telegram.
