Not to be Served, but to Serve

During a stroll around the OYP compound, I was drawn to the word, ”RESERVED” on a parking space. Although the word has exclusive connotations, part of it also calls for one to ‘SERVE’, to go out into world, just as Jesus Christ did. Not to be served, but to serve. As I removed my sandals, I felt the rough rocky ground against the soles of my feet. The path of following Jesus requires suffering but yet there is joy in the resurrection- it is the longest pilgrimage we will take by foot towards eternal life, but there is also a place that has been reserved for us in the Father’s house in Heaven.
